Google is allowing publishers to limit access under the First Click Free policy to five free accesses per user each day. This change is to calm publisher’s worries that people may abuse First Click Free to access all their content free. The change applies to Google News and websites indexed in Google’s Web Search. Google is hoping this change will get more publishers to use First Click Free to sell access to their content. Google’s First Click Free allows publisher’s to have their restricted content in Google’s search index.
